Third Brake Light Strobe

I swapped out my 3rd brake light with an LED bulb and used one of these, no issues so far. The first 3 flashes are definitely fast, almost to fast, but after that you get slower flashes then steady light.

Does changing the third brake light bulb cause an error? I've only installed LEDs in reverse, cargo, license plate bulb. I've already ordered the flasher off ebay.

None that I'm aware of. But I also have factory LED brake lights.

i think there was a member a month or so ago that was asking about his pulsing/flashing 3rd brake light

 

i tried to search it but didn't find the thread i was thinking about

That was me. It was a dealer add on from Red Alert. I ended up just leaving it.

All taken care of. Nice clean install using 3M "Scotchlok" splice connectors. Very happy with result.
