Oil pump failure

Which year silverados had the issue with the oil pumps going bad? Somewhere around 04-07?

Those problems don't seem to happen very often (either the o-ring failing or the pressure relief valve sticking open).

The original motor out of my 06 had some kind of oil pump issue. That motor would dry start every time it sat for more than a few hours, and it also had very poor oil pressure. At 237k miles though it was more than shot.

Ahh I see, I guess I thought it was more common than it really is
