I'm becoming a posting whore lately with all of these question. I'm loookimg at installing a electric traile jack and was interested to see if anyone is using one and what brand. I did a search and there are a bunch of different ones out there and was looking for a good quality one.

Have the Barker 3500 on my 24 ft travel trailer. Made in USA. 6 years and no problems.

I have an Atwood, but if I was looking now I'd seriously look at the Husky with the wireless remote. Between that and the backup camera, hookup would be a breeze without the wifes help (and she does a good job helping).

I have the Husky super brute. Fast smooth and powerful.

I will add this too, the super brute has the remote. I didn't think I would use it. I also use Level mate pro. It's a wireless leveler you mount and zero inside your camper and read it on your smartphone. I can raise the Jack with the remote, back under the hitch then after I'm parked, level it all inside the truck

That's pretty cool. What's the cost of that?

I've been out-geeked :)

I hate to admit this, but my reasoning is to remove the wife from as much of the process as possible. God bless her, I love her, but she is no help what so ever and might actually be anti-help.

For example I keep asking how I am doing backing in, I get all the way in and she says, I think you are crooked. When trying to get level, I get very vague directions and end up looking myself.

So these tools make everything a little easier.

As a kid, I saw my neighbours nearly divorce anytime they hooked up the trailer. Usually ended with the wife in the house in tears.

My wife, on the other hand, is great at helping with hooking up. But she is not always available to help.

It never gets to that point for me, not fighting or anything, just means I have to get out and go look for myself LOL At times I am just laughing.

We have walkie-talkies I can see her in the side mirror talking.... but no button, no talkie! LOL
