Headlights: (1 Side Dull, the other bright??)

Hey guys,

 

Went by the body shop today to check progress on my truck and noticed this. Any ideas? I haven't had the chance to go through anything. THe day I got it, was the same day it went to the shop. Both bulbs on the way out? Seems kinda strange.

Looks like a bad bulb. Just replace them both.

I'm hoping that's the fix bud. Thanks! Sucks I can't meddle with my truck even after 2 months wait. Hoping to get it back today or tomorrow.

I had this happen it was a bad ground not bulbs.

Bad ground is the first thing that came to my mind. What has your truck been doing in the shop for two months?

Paint front bumper and some other minor adjustments. It's been in the shop 2 weeks. The other month and change is because it was shipped from the US to here. Where would the ground be that I need to check? I can check it out when I get it back.

I don't know where the ground is located.for this specific item but a poor ground connection is a common culprit for such electrical issues. Is this a private purchase or is there any type of warranty?

Bought used in Houston. No warranty involved, I don't mind tracing the problem, if I had the truck home, I'd have it torn down by now. Lol

If it was a ground issue I could see it not working at all.

Got the truck back, had a guy drive it home for me while I was in the other truck. He stayed behind me just so I could see the lights. It's not dull anymore. Will try and take a pic later this evening. I'm not sure what happened but it's all fine now.

Ok problem is back again. Dim lights and now the passenger side turn signal in the mirror stays on. Will check the grounds tomorrow. It was working fine until this morning and later in the evening it went kaput!

i hit a deer in my 2016 and bought new headlight bulb and fog light complete housing and this side is maybe 20% dimmer still
