No Sensors except B/U camera on 2017 1500 LT's

I love my truck. Excellent Power and acceleration but it needs back up sensors to compliment the back up camera at least on the corners because the risk of clipping something on the corner is very easy to do. I haven't hit anything yet but have come close. It has all the bells and whistles but those back up sensors should really be included. There is nothing in the front as well, so you have no idea how close your bumper is in front. I always stop short but have left my tail hanging out in the rear. In a parking lot, this could cause someone not paying attention to how close they are to possibly clip your rear end. Yeah, I could get out and look and have from time to time, but who wants to do that all the time Anyone feel the same way and does anyone no why they removed them? BTW,. this is my first time on the list. I'm sure I will have other questions as time goes by.

That is an option that is available on the LT trim level, you should have found a truck that had that option, sorry, I guess hind sight is always 20/20

I have heard of people installing them after, may want to Google, look into that.

Is this the your first truck? I have found when driving a truck that you just have to develop a feeling of where the front end is. I am sure you will get use to the parking thing. Just have to develop the feel for it. Good luck.

It's my first truck since the 80's. I had been buying the Trailblazer series. I did assume that parking sensors were standard since they came out with them I believe in the 2000's. My friend had an earlier GMC model 4x4 that had sensors so I guess they were standard now and didn't think to ask. I have been a Chevy fan my whole life, and that is the only problem I have with it. I will look at after-market versions of it to install. Thanks

Learn how to use your mirrors.

This has been my first truck with rear sensors and find them a nice option. The camera is great for hooking up a trailer. However, I do not depend on them for normal use and would not look for aftermarket if I didn't have them. Front sensors/camera admittedly would be a handy option for those occasions where every inch matters. With practice, you can gauge distances fairly accurately. My advice to the op is to give it a few months and you may change your mind.

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles if you are missing that, you are missing an option package. Back up sensors with a camera are useless (wish my truck didn't have them), just use your mirrors for the corners (it is much more accurate and can get closer) and camera for whats right behind you, not that difficult. Do you have home link, dual climate, power pedals, power drivers seat or rear window?

Went from and 03 Cavalier to a 15 WT 1500 with the back up camera. For the corners, the mirrors work great and I've backed my truck into spots I've seen smaller SUV's not try to fit in with no issue.

My two wheel drive silverado doesnt have a transfer case and front diff. They should really make these trucks with 4wd. It just spins in wet grass. Frustrating.

really? That's all you've got? I know how to use mirrors but you buy an upper level truck for the luxury. Besides, my neck is fused from an old fracture from football so they would help. I'm not always able to turn and look so easily. I can do without the sarcasms'. Thanks anyway. At least I know the thread is being looked at. Ity was more of an observation than a question.

I have 'em they're almost useless and their ugly on the rear bumper to boot.... Only reason I have 'em is they came with some other option I wanted (I think adjustable pedals)..... If properly adjusted the side mirrors are much more useful for the corners....

Long story short, you would have needed to have spent a few more bucks on the truck to get them. My dad's LTZ has them. Reverse cameras are basically becoming mandatory by the government.
