4 inch frankenstein lift.

I was looking around for a 17 stamped steel 4 inch lift and what I found I didn't like. I want a lift with struts and shocks, not just spacer and extensions. I plan on doing

Upper Control Arms from Tuff country.

I already have a have 3 inch flat blocks and 1 inch front spacer. I plan on making out the front Bilstein with the 3 inch of lift they provide and use the spacer for the extra 1inch. I want a little rake so Im only doing a 3 inch block. will the rear Bilstein shocks work with the 3 inch lift blocks? what do you all think?

You might want to rethink your "frankenstein lift", its the equivalent of spacers. If the truck is 4wd i wouldn't go past 2.5 in leveling kit, unless you do a full suspension lift. Now if it's 2wd i would suggest a set of spindles like Maxtrac's PN: 701550 its a 5in spindle meant for stamped steel Uca's. But thats just my 2 cents.

I respect creative ideas but sometimes it is less expensive long term to do things the right way. I personally would spend the extra to do a proper lift or go with a 1.5" to 2.5" level. The setup you currently have sounds ideal, imo!

get the control arms, bilistien at 2 in and get the .5 spacer for the top. then do a 1.5 body lift, anthing else ur fonna have to get a real 4 in lift kit

thanks for the input guys, its a 2wd truck. all of the 4 inch kits i have seen use spacers, i just want to avoid using spacers, is there anyone to get a 4 inch lift without spacers?

Just to give an idea of what your front suspension angles can look like with 3" spindles, Uca's and stock struts.

 

And this is spindles, fox 2.0's set at about an inch of lift, 2" rear lift block w/ fox 2.0's, 17x8.5 welds and 33 M/T mtz.
