This is what I am waiting for from Ford. I will be looking at them the second year they are out. (Can't buy first year, been through that, waaaaaay to many problems they work through the first year.)

But what if GM brings back the Blazer :D

Then I will check that out as well, but they have not released any certain information on that yet. I assume they will eventually, after they see how the Bronco numbers go.

Being somewhat on the topic of truck based SUV's, I was THIS close to buying a 2015 Xterra. I did not know they were going to stop making them, and knowing that I am absolutely sure would have bought it.

Until Ford changes that absolutely hideous looking front end on the F-150 I won't even consider one no matter how many bells and whistles it has. And to the OP, yes it had LED headlights before the Sierra/Silverado but they were rated horrendous by every mag or org that tested them.

only reason to buy chevy:

looks

price

both are subjective

How about the 6.2, Ford doesn't have anything like that!

Wife had one. Awesome vehicles. Now she drives a Subaru Outback. Now that's a car/SUV

Speaking of 6.2, GM needs to start offering it in lower trims. Ford has 2 ecoboosts and the 5.0 that all easily outperform the 5.3 and all 3 are available in all trims. I shouldn't have to spend 50k to get a truck that can compete with a 30k ford...

In high school I almost bought a 1986 Ramcharger. Great shape, stock height with mud terrains, 140k miles, straight piped. Just didn't have the money at the time. But good lord was that a beautiful truck. I don't know why SUV's like that went the way of the dodo. So much utility and look way better than 90% of crossovers.

When Nissan canceled the Xterra I almost cried. It was the last of it's kind. Who cares about mpg's if it can do anything you ask it to, fit whatever you want in it, and last 200k if you take care of it.

Mine was a 85! 318 and took plenty of Jeep trails around Yosemite in the Sierra. Lost a rear u joint once. Dropped the driveshaft in the street. Stopped, picked it up, put it in 4wheel. Drove to NAPA bought 2 new u joints(one a spare) and installed it in the cabin briveway and went back to bushwackin. Kids still talk about that thing today.

If I ever have extra cash and I see one, especially a restored/in good shape one at a classic car dealer, I'm buying it. Ramcharger or a K5. That's awesome man, what color was it? I was born way after those things were stopped being made...what was Dodge's reputation for reliability like back in the 80's? The ones I've seen from back then seem stout but I just don't see many around or many big fans of them.

Sorry for hijacking this thread. Lol.
