Off topic - replacement remotes

I apologize for the off-topic post but it might actually be useful indirectly.

 

I just purchased a used Buick which now makes it harder to get my GMC Sierra out of the driveway (there, just to keep things on topic) and the remote is beat up. Plus, we'd like an extra as well.

Can anyone recommend a good source for new remotes?

Buy a new remote. Is the original "special"? Remote "parts" usually don't exist. New remotes are cheap.

Nothing wrong with it so no sense in buying a new remote. They do make replacement rubber parts for previous model years, just hasn't caught on to the new model remotes yet.

It's for a 2007 Buick Lucerne.

I stopped by AutoZone but they want about $85 and I have to wait. I did see a couple websites that had 'like new' remotes for around $40 but I wondered if anyone had any sites they've used in the past with good results.

I have used them to help my mother out with her remotes. We got a complete remote and a rubber insert to fix the one she already had.

Ordered two remotes and a replacement transponder key for $101 after discount codes.

The site looks useful because they also provide video instructions on how to program your vehicle to accept the new remotes removing the need to go to the dealership and paying them to do so.
