The parameter data I posted is from GM's description and operation of the system in those engines.

I got my truck back today and there's no noise.

They replaced the entire exhaust, from the cat back, and everything seems to be working great.

I guess time will tell if it's a permanent fix or not. Best thing was, it was covered by the warranty, so I saved $660.

Glad it worked out!  I went on a little road trip yesterday to make a seasonal visit and tried hard to listen/feel for the AFM to kick in and out.  I failed miserably.  I thought I might have found a Chevy shake at 125 kmh (78 mph) but it went away after a brief time and I couldn't find it again.  Reading this forum makes me much more sensitive to every hiccup!

Yup, you got that last part right. These forums make everyone look for the smallest issue that they normally wouldn't even worry about.
