2017 AC fan controll

Anybody's truck doing the same thing. I usually run the ac on auto, but it never shuts completely down, still air blowing out the vents when it reaches temperature. I then turn it down with the control knob but it does not shut the air off. I have to move the vents or shut the vents off. Not really a concern in summer but in winter its nice to have the heater on and no air blowing at all. A m I doing something wrong or should I get checked next time I go to the shop. Thanks

If the fan is off off, like you hit the power button and turn it off, they are designed to keep a flow of air in the interior to equalize cabin pressure. AUTO will reduce the fan speed, but never turn the fan off.

I keep mine on AUTO at 72 degrees as there's a European manufacturer that believes 72 is ideal. I've been doing this for years and it's worked great for me, cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the winter and I never have to touch it. Just let the system operate like the thermostat that it is doing what it's designed to do and just drive instead of regularly changing the mode and temp IMO.
