Hey all just joined and looking for some info on my 2005 Silverado lm7 engine. Im currently running a diablo Lew tune and corvette servo with superior trans billet cover and 4th apply piston. Other than that she's bone stock with 217,000 on the clock. I plan to remove the engine and build a little better than before with 4.8 pistons and I'm kicking around the idea of a crane cams truck cam. It is my daily driver but I want a little more performance out of it. If I could make it a little quicker than a new gas pickup I will be satisfied. My question is how do I know if I've got press for rods and pistons or full floating? And also what pistons work well for you guys? I'm open to suggestions and i plan on doing every bearing inside and get the heads redone as well. I want it like new again. With the lew tune it already hauls ass and gets better mileage but i know it can be better. Thanks
