Yesterday, I installed a Reese Compact IQ controller in my truck. The controller is mounted behind the dash near the parking brake pedal and I mounted the adjuster dial and indicator LED in a panel over the pocket above the 4wd selector dial.

Would you mind posting a pic of where you mounted the controller?

It’s mounted to the metal support above the parking brake pedal using the double sided foam tape that came with the controller. The wires to the LED and dial were barely long enough to reach up to the pocket. The wires are ran along the bottom of the dash and across the fuse panel. I’ve since molded in a panel over the pocket.

I had the Redarc in my Silverado 1500 LT.  Worked great with my trailer and install wasn't too bad.  I put it under the screen where the heated seats button would be in the higher trim trucks.

Traded off the 1500 for a 2500 HD and didnt grab any picks of the install.

Wire loom hides the wires hanging below the dash.

Did my install a few weekends ago. I mounted my box on the metal bracket below the steering wheel, behind the lower panel.  I didn’t take a pic of it though.

This is the only thing visible on mine (systems status via backlit led)....control box is hidden up under the dash.

Looking to add a controller and leaning toward P3. Anyone tried to mount in center console under the removable cup holders vertically? For trucks with captains seats with fixed center console. From what I read vertical is okay. Not sure if wiring long enough though.

Where did you get the plate to cover the hole? Is it something I can buy somewhere or did you make it?

Where did you get the panel?  My 2016 has a cubby...

I made the panel. It had angle brackets behind it that were attached inside the cubby with emblem tape and the panel was attached to the brackets with velcro.
