Some of the kits just use double sided tape. For my set up I mounted the lights on a pieces of cut aluminum trim (long 90 degree piece)  and then used small panel clamps (tighten with nuts) to clamp it onto the grill. No holes drilled and has held on for quite some time now.

They are wired into the parking lights, so anytime they are on then all the led’s are on as well. The light bar itself is wired into the fog light switch. But the orange backlighting is also tied into the parking lights like I said, the picture that they posted earlier in the thread was with the truck remote started, which is my favorite part. I’ve started it in a parking lot coming out of the movies and I love seeing people’s reactions because the lights are so hidden they don’t expect it

What color is the parking light wire in the headlight assembly?

I have the halogen lights and honestly I haven’t had a chance to look at my headlight wiring harness since it has rained for 5 days straight. I will try and look when the sky’s clear. Thanks bud!

No problem buddy! If all else fails just do an “add a fuse” in the fuse box with the parking light fuse!

That was going to be my next option. I ordered some of the Opt7 switchback directional under cab running/blinkers with door assist accent lights also, so I need to figure out the colors of the wires anyway. There seems to be no threads on wire colors where the wiring harness plugs into the headlight. If all else fails will have to go buy another test light.

Took it appart and i only kept the light and applied some VHT nite-shade so they blend and are not really visible during the day. Tap them in the fuse box so they light up when the side marker do. (Fuse 29)

You think running a wire to the fuse box under the hood would be the best bet?

Looking to have mine on at all times when the vehicle is on. I think tapping into the RAP/constant power spot would power these on when the vehicle was unlocked as well?

Or I guess tapping into a constant power source through the headlight wiring would work too. Just have to find the correct wire on PGamboa’s harness for my LTZ headlights.

I get my disassembled grill back to apply Xpel on Monday. Think I’m going to do this install before I reassemble/add all of the color matched front.

Old thread I know but those of y’all who have these lights specifically in a 2016-2108 grill care to post a pic how y’all mounted them? I see some of y’all talking about using a piece of aluminum bar stock and just curious how y’all made it work?
