2016+ Silverado Headlights take on arctic weather

So as I live in upstate New York, of course we get snow before thanksgiving :sigh:. Nothing out of the ordinary.. but this is my first snow fall with my 17 double cab silvy. Anndddddd the headlights **** during a storm as they don't project enough heat to melt the snow off the headlights. Wish there was a fix for this, or is there ? If not, I wish everyone would be cautious of this and be safe while driving

The Morimoto D5S 35w upgrade will put off more heat than the OEM 25w D5S... could give that a shot.

Needing to sometimes clear ice/snow/slush etc from headlights sometimes is not something new or unique to todays vehicles.

I recall doing this in the 70's, the 80's, the 90's.....etc.

Doesn't happen every year. But awareness of the possible need is a good thing.

And keeping the rear ones clean might prevent someone from shortening you vehicle.
