1960 Chevy Apache Power Steering

Hello Everyone, hoping one of you chevy gurus can help me. I have a 1960 Apache that I’m trying to install power steering. The truck has a V8-350 from a 78’ Malibu so it’s not an original engine. The PS pump requires it to be mounted near the left freeze plug but there is a bracket there that gets in the way. Please see pictures.
