Good Basic Shocks

Thinking about changing shocks on my 2000 silverado 4x4. Just wanted to see what everyone like for a good basic shock ...like the ones that come on a Basic 4x4 (not Z71)  Don't want Bilstein, Rancho or any off road shock like that.

I know you said you don't want Bilstein's, but that is what I run on my 01 2wd. The 4600 series that I got from Autozone about 12 years ago.

+1 for the Bilstien 4600.  Best overall shock you can buy.  They ride great, last and won't break the bank.

Coming from someone who has been there and done that, unless you don't intend to keep the truck; Bilstein is a once and done thing. You will replace multiple sets of "good basic shocks" for one set of Bilstein, the cost will be the same or more for "good basic shocks".

I went down that road with my three previous trucks, bought Bilstein for this one the first time out and couldn't be more pleased.
