I'll try to post a video later.  It happens when going over rough surfaces and is getting louder and louder.  Anyone experience/solve this?

my truck is also making a noise, that I think is similar to this. Ever figure anything out? Its pretty damn annoying haha

It was difficult to find but most of the controls in the overhead, Sliding window garage opener and interior light switch were loose so were rattling. May not be your problem but putting it out there.

I have found a couple annoying rattles in the dash of my 17 crew. I found the "most" annoying one inside the passenger fuse panel compartment. Made it sound like it was resonating thru the whole dash. There is a fuse block/wiring harness square plastic thing in there, Jammed a peice of cardboard in there and good to go. A new rattle has just started towards the drivers side....haven't found that one yet lol

I can't find the source. I'll have the dealer fix it. It's constant now and driving me nuts.

my 2017 silverado does the same thing when i make a sharp right turn, sounds to me theres something sliding  in center of the dash near stereo. I would make a sharp left afterwards don't hear it. I have a post on here about this and i done evreything as others said. Like drive in 2wd mode. Can't remember the others but no luck. Again it sounds like plastic on plastic sliding to me, maybe a wire connection not zip tied?

Well yesterday I figured it out. The closed the door and heard the noise outside of the truck for the first time. Played around in the engine bay and the lower battery bracket bolt was 90% backed out. Tightened it up and it's 100% gone.

On the back of the kick board (you'll have to remove the kick board) on the drivers side footwell is a metal plate. its literally held into place by PLASTIC rivets.  I've had this issue in my 08 and my 16.  Both were solved by removing that metal plate. Idk what its purpose its, but neither truck fell apart, nor did they squeak after I removed them.

I had this exact same issue in my 2016 Silverado with 50k miles on it.  The same bolt was backed out about 50%.  Tightened her up, and no more chirping!

Small world!  How long did you let it go for before you figured it out?

I've been trying to track down a chirping sound from the dash for months, and THIS was the answer!! I've torn apart my dash, door panels, everything trying to find a loose bolt inside with no luck. I found this thread this weekend and it was the damn battery tray bolt. I don't know how it was so loud in the cab, but it's no longer driving me insane. Just wanted to stop by and say THANK YOU.

Hell yeah! Glad I could help. That sound drove me insane. It was so loud inside. I couldn't believe it.

They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.

      Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍

      Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
