Z71 Grill Emblem

I recently purchased a Z71 grill badge for my 2018 Silverado.

It came with a sheet metal bracket of sorts, nuts, a washer and a threaded stud.

I'm guessing the stud screws into the emblem, appears to be about 1 or 2 threads to hold it, run 1 of the nuts against it to jam it and use the bracket on the back side of the grill with the other nut & washer to hold it?

I just want to be sure before I go and pull the grill out to install this piece.

Do you not have a Z71? Why add a badge that it isn't? Are you adding the bed decals too?

 

Not sure how to add it, I wouldn't think the grill needs to come off just the top shroud to access the rear.

NO, its not a Z71...

It's a black LT.

While I like how it looks, I just feel it needs some "color" here and there...

I ordered GM Z71 badges for the front and rear, the door emblems and the bed decals....

I personally think the red in the pieces will help with the overall appearance...

Please understand, I'm not trying to make it something its not... I just wanted some color other than the black & chrome...

It does sound like you are making the truck something it is not.  If your looking for color why not add a red pinstripe down the side or red bow ties etc.?

You do realize you're asking a bunch of random people for help and many of them don't have the same thinking as you do. You see a simple badge add-on and many other people see you trying to make your truck something it's not. Best advice I can give don't take everything you read here at heart or you'll have a hard time sleeping at night.

Z71 grille has the mounting area to attach this.  LT grille does not.  You'd have to swap the grille, or make some sort of attachment piece. 

 

Also, you've only made 3 posts and had a fit over some folk's opinion?  Take a breather my man.  Its your truck, modify it as you see fit, to your taste not others.  And this is a great forum as well, so try and stick around.

It'll look good with the Z71 badge. I have a LTZ that I may change the babe on to a Z71 badge. I agree about needing some color. I had to get the LTZ to get the 6.2 and NHT ( bought used) but like the Z71 badge better. Hey it's not like the Z71 package is all that different.. Basically the badge and stickers are the biggest part of the package lol.
It's your truck so do what you think you'll like. Sheesh guys it's not like he's lowering a 4x4 or putting goofy huge wheels and low profile tires on it lol.

Now if your mama doesn’t like the badges, you might take some kind of note...
