I see, now that I think about it I was given a 2018 Yukon when having some service done. The app did look different, thanks for the clarification. 

 

I do have the travel link from XM and the weather they provide is surprisingly really accurate. Do the newer trucks still have the "sky" above your navigation map that shows what the weather is?

Exactly. My 2017 still has the XM weather app as well, but I opted not to pay XM the additional $5 a month they wanted, so when my trial ended, that was the end of XM supplied weather for me. The weather channel app is free.

Good question. I don’t know because I don’t use the trucks nav either! Lol!
I use my iPhones nav via CarPlay.
I haven’t activated the trucks built in nav for months now.
