David Futch Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Purchased 2017 Sierra in November of 2016 was a 2017 model with 8 speed and 6.2 motor. Loved the truck for first 15000 miles. Around then I noticed vibration at certain speeds. After three trips to local dealer not selling dealer they finally change transmission fluid to synthetic and it helped with the vibration. A couple of months ago I was taking my wife to an emergency doctor visit when transmission stuck in a gear and would not shift. I had to slowly return home and get another vehicle. Took to local dealer who reprogrammed computer and issue went away. The transmission is still clunky and when cold hesitates from park to reverse and will take off all at once if gas is applied. Have to make sure of anything behind you. During all of this I noticed squeaking in rear suspension. Has been to local dealer three times for this twice they lubricated it once the just rode to confirm sound. They told me they would change rear leaf springs but when I took it in to be done they said GMC had told them to only lubricate it. This is a four wheel drive SLT package with Z-71 . It does not go off road much but does travel dirt roads occasionally. I called the GMC number and got case number. After two weeks of back and two my local dealer told me they would not do anything else that I would have to take to selling dealer who is many States away. This is the same dealer who had done all band aid type fixes up until this point. Then spoke with GMC rep and was told I am pretty much out of luck. I asked if there was anyone in a technical support role that could discuss this with me and was told there was not. I have only ever driven GM pickups. I am extremely disappointed with the level of dealer and Company support on this vehicle. The truck retailed at nearly 60,000.00. Which is a huge investment for me. Anybody getting same run around?
