Running Boards & Bed Liner

My dealer sent the truck out to get the bed liner sprayed from Line-X and it cost me about $450.  Also, I really like the Off Road style GM steps.  Normally they are $895 from GM but the dealer had some in stock and I was able to get them on the truck for $500 with free installation.  Cheapest I found those online were about $650.  Talk with the dealer you got your truck from, they may be able to help you out.

I also went with the Ionic running boards of Amazon.  They look good and have kept my paint from getting more rock chips. The steps are aluminum so no rusting but I did coat the metal mounting brackets with rustoleum paint.  I did about four coats to help keep them from rusting, we have a lot  of salt on the roads in NNY.  I would also never seize the bolts, may help you down the road if you have to remove them.

I did the same thing on the bolts, forgot to mention that. I use copper anti-seize on nearly everything to prevent future headache (I don't even live in the "rust belt")

On a side note, I added CLD tiles to the bottom of my running boards. Could not stand the noise of water splashing against them when I would drive in the rain. The water would echo the hollow aluminum boards and drive me insane. Adding CLD tiles cut down tremendous noise. (and yes, I have mud guards)

I have AMP Research running board and I couldn't be more happier with this.

For the bed liner, I have the factory one but my dealer said they can have one of the shop that they are working with and the quality was pretty good as I have seen. The price was around $300.

Went with the simple/cheap Ionic boards as well and enjoyed installing them myself.  2 of the 4 plastic parts of the steps started coming up out of the mounting holes after some warm weather but some good glue would probably solve that issue.  Just been too lazy to try it!  I went with the DualLiner bed liner option.  I didn't really want to get into the line-x world just yet but did want something to protect the inner walls of the sides of the bed.  I'm semi-happy with the DualLiner but the end rail cap section is not flush and clearly doesn't fit properly as well as the tailgate cover seems to warp in the hot sun.  Some extra drilling is... may be required in order for the tailgate cover to be properly installed.  I've thought about getting a bed cover/rollup style cover but I'll probably have to cut into that rail cap in order make it properly seat.  Thanks for giving me a chance to vent my frustrations!  (After posting this I realized you didn't ask about non-spray bed liners. Please excuse the unnecessary level of information.)

I've got Line x on mine and happy with it.

I use Amp-research for running boards. No problems with them and easy to install

I went with a bed rug liner in my 15’. They are awesome!!  Nothing slides around. Padded so easy on the knees when climbing around in the bed. I actually just transferred it into my 18’ that has the gm spray in liner for more protections. Other than three dents where I apparently dropped stuff I don’t remember the bed looked like new after three years of use.
