Alright so I was ready to pull the trigger on morimotos hid kit for my 2015 Silverado LTZ.  But i got to reading and some people question the reliability of HID kits and the LEDs are easier to install.  But then you hear how the LEDs don't perform well in our trucks projectors.  So there's lots of pros and cons of each that offset one another.

I found these LEDs with very small heatsinks that will fit behind the cover, and they're inexpensive.

So just need some more input from those of you with real experience on each type of light or who have done both maybe.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

Those lights will not perform well in your projectors. I had similar ones on my Sierra and I HATED them. The focus was terrible and extremely hard to see st night. I HIGHLY recommend the Morimoto HID kit. I got mine from www.theretrofitsource.com and LOVE them.

I've ran HID's in many vehicles always loved them. My '16 Sierra came with the LED upgrade and I hands down prefer them to any HID I've ever seen. With that said, I highly doubt you can buy cheap LED's from Amazon and get them to perform on the same level.

Sounds great guys.  Thinking of doing LEDs for the high beams.  Anyone do LED highs?

Terrible for highs. They do not light road at all, and only brighten signs a bit. Stick with halogen for highs...

Does anyone know what high beams the LTZ/premium Tahoes and Suburbans have?  I know they have HID lows, are they just running hallogen highs?

I have the kit from Diode Dynamics. Works great and is high quality..

Installed kensun HID's on my 2014 GMC 1500 SLT. Work great, super lighting other than I had the their HID relay buzzing occasionally when the alternator went over 13.5 volts and up charging. Ended up only way to cure it was to install their heavy duty ballasts which do not come in the kit along with a capacitor which they said I shouldn't need with the heavy duty ballasts but ended up I did have to use it to get the buzzing to stop. After 4 calls to their technical support, they sent me the heavy duty ballasts for free, but if I ever do it again I will choose another brand.
