ACDelco rotors warped after 7k?

Had all new brakes done 7k miles ago (went 65k on factory pads and rotors). They have a 12k warranty. Getting a hard steering wheel shake when braking after they get hot. Also have a serious highway vibration at 70+mph. Wondering if this is the culprit. Warped/out of round?

The highway vibrations could very well be a warped rotor. I had some vibrations in my Mustang up around 70-80mph and turned out to be a warped front rotor, slightly warped but warped none the less.

Anything AC Delco I have bought in the last 10 years has been junk.

It does sound like a warped rotor.  Can you feel the brake pedal move up and down when applying the brakes?

I’ll have to see. Scheduled appt at dealer. They did the brakes (wasn’t my first choice but it wouldnt pass inspection and I was in a pinch). I clearly stated that I would like to take tech on ride with me (at least 1 way) as I know exactly what speed to get it to to get it to vibrate. And I’ll make sure brakes are nice and warm upon arrival. Don’t want the “we couldn’t replicate issue” excuse.

I have a 2016 Denali. I have had brake issues since 6K miles. Between dealing with the dealer ship for warranty work and the issues i have had with my last 3 gm trucks, I think this might be my last.

I haven't had much faith in AC Delco stuff, especially rotors, I have usually gone with Centric or Raybestos for rotors and Akebono ceramic pads in my last few cars and had good performance, even with my wife's heavy braking foot.  I would get a good vented rotor that is coated for rust prevention, drilled/slotted eat pads faster and aren't as durable and performance is typically worse (except for initial brake bite).   They look awesome though... so that does make it harder.  There isn't much out there for higher end ones for the 2018 trucks that aren't drilled/slotted.  I took a look and might go with the Raybestos police rotors, but I have a lot of miles before I need to make that decision and there might be some more options.

Shuddering can be two different things 1. warped rotors (defect or high heat and not properly torqued rims) Rims improperly torqued and in wrong sequence once heated will warp

2. hot spots from being heated too fast and not cooled when new ( improperly bedded in)

Also ask for them to set up a dial indicator on the rotors for a runout.
