Anyone "dovetail" their stock bedsides? I've done it a few times on Fords but never on a newer Chevy. Just looking for input before I start cutting... Thanks!

Pic shown has Fiberwerx bedsides

That's more for crawlers. Why do you want that on this truck ?

Here is another example from the Mazulla site, they offer a sweet rear bumper that requires dove tailing to look right.

I'm not sure that is a dovetail. That's why I was asking

Tbis is a dovetail to my knowledge

Yes, indeed.  I thought thats what you were calling "dovetailing" since the original picture has rally cut fenders.  (which is what they call it apparently)

Not many Dove tailed rock crawler K2's I'd imagine...Only heavily modified I've seen are LT Desert beasts, who just run extra wide glass.

Yes that's correct, I just come from the prerunner side of things where they call it dovetail. Drives me crazy too haha

Regarding this photo, those are Fiberwerx bedsides which just looks natural when cut like that. I'm not sure how the truck will look like with stock bedsides cut.

Gotcha.  Haven't really paid much attention to Silverado stuff, trying to avoid the LT route which I took with my Tacoma.  Slippery slope!!

Dude I get that... Went from a mid travel 2015 Silverado to Raptor, then a race kit on the Raptor, then a 4 linked, caged, race truck, then LT Raptor again, now all I want is a Silverado with a few goodies to make it decently capable. But it's gotta look mean lol

Cut the "departure angle" baja kits chase upper arm with a coilover. Good to go and doesnt break the bank

That's exactly what I'm doing actually! King 3.0, deavers, shackles, UCAs, bump stop, bumpers, 35s. Decently capable and affordable to maintain

I have the dirt king midtravel UCA. I Measured 10.25 or 10.5 inches of travel up front I’ll have to check my notes. Just make sure your shocks have the right travel I have Accutune Fox coil overs 5.3 inches of travel, and can’t say enough good things. The wifey even asked her uncle if their dirt road had been graded after I put them in they ride so nice. She was skeptical at first.

Awesome that's great to hear! I'll check the travel numbers on the shocks and at the hub this weekend when it all hopefully goes on. Thanks ?
