Yukon XL battery standby current draw.

Hi.

Does anybody know, by chance what is typical standby current draw for Yukon XL or any full size SUV. I'm reading 50mA and suspect it is not correct number.

I have shop manual for my truck. I think there is no such data there. Advice if you know where to look

Before I get to 50mA level I was at 120mA, and 70mA drop was bad passenger seat switch bad. Now I'm at 50mA, but still not positive. So  "under 250 is fine" is not correct. 120mA kill battery in 10 days. It is nice to find dead battery in airport parking lot in the middle of the night after trip.

For my truck it says the average current drain in five minutes should not exceed 5 mA. 

 

From the Shop Manual for GMT900s:

Note the battery reserve capacity, amp hour rating. Refer to Battery Usage.
1. Divide the reserve capacity by 4, amp hour rating by 2.4.
2. Compare this to the multimeter milliampere reading taken in the previous step. The parasitic
current drain should not exceed this number. Example: If a battery has a reserve capacity of 100
minutes, (60 A/H) the current drain should not exceed 25 mA.

 

The BCM will set code B1527 is a high parasitic drain is detected.

 

DTC Descriptor 
DTC B1527 00
High Parasitic Load
Circuit/System Description 

The body control module (BCM) monitors the state of charge (SOC) of the electrical system. If the BCM senses that the battery current was less than -2 amps and the SOC at key-on is 30 percent less than it was when the engine was last running, DTC B1527 00 will set.

Conditions for Running the DTC 

The ignition is turned from OFF to ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC 

The SOC at key-on is 30 percent less than it was when the engine was last running.
The average battery current was less than -2 amps when the ignition was OFF.
