"Water-resistant storage unit helps protect cargo from extreme elements".  I'm not a lawyer but I think GM covered their ass.

I respect your opinion but I believe the design is flawed and not going to stop full court pressing GM to make it right.

“extreme elements” like UV rays and 30mph wind gusts...

”High Desert Package” aka only buy if you live in the high desert & receive less than 2” of rain fall annually...

Has anyone has the TSB 18-NA-135 completed on their vehicle?

I spoke with my dealer yesterday and he said he would order the parts and let me know when they come in.

I also contacted Chevy customer service and have a case started. I didn't figure it would get much done, but the person I spoke with seemed concerned and agreed it is a warranty issue and needs resolved.

Mine was finally finished Tuesday, a process that started the week of Memorial Day.  I never considered it a "severe" leak.  The new panels do seem to lock together much tighter.  Guess we'll see if the fix makes the bed water tight.

In the mean time I've come up with a hack for my truck that solves the problem.  Made a pull out tray and have a 4'x6' bag.

For me it's not a huge deal, I bought the truck because it was distinctive and it was $9500.00 off before my supplier discount.

I'm glad to hear it got done. I'm not sure if mine is a severe leak or not, but it is a frustrating one.

Mine mostly leaks around the front and rear main gutters, meaning the water almost goes into the gutter, but instead drips around it, it's been very frustrating trying to figure out a solution on my own.

I've spent many hours with a garden hose and a flashlight and have really gotten nowhere. I'll keep my figures crossed that this will work.

My dealer has everything ordered and should hopefully get everything this week, I'm guessing it won't take long to put it on, the only thing that hasn't been done yet is the panels and the seals the panels rest on.

Great news Huskersfan!

I have  some also, a GM engineer looked at my HDP and they have decided to install the TSB on it.

Once  the dealer is finished, the GM engineer will inspect and certify the install.

I chose a different dealer than my selling dealer and thankful I did. I also get a free loaner truck for the duration of the repair and certification.

It appears to still have a little water in the bed, but it is channeled to the drains better,  Haven't had it out in a "downpour" yet, but it appears better then prior to the TSB repair.

Where is the water appearing now?

I dropped my truck off this morning and they weren't sure if they would get it all done today and might have to keep it over the weekend? I've seen the TSB and I don't know how that could take several days considering I've already added the shims and enlarged the drain holes. I think I could find the rest in about 2 hours, all that needs done is add a replace a few seals and put the put panels on.
