I did called the dealer where i bought it from and told them the situation and they said its an engine problem which the 100k warranty should cover and for me to take it to local chevy dealer. They said let them know what the problem is and theyll help what they can. So its at a local dealer now getting checked.

Thanks.  Let us know what they say.

So chevy dealer is going to put in a new engine. They said it has a broken rod and another thing which i forgot the word.

Now the question is will it be a brand new motor or used/rebuilt?

Thanks for all advices!

if your vehicle has 70k  on it, most likely you will receive a remanufactured block.

That's pretty much the best case scenario...it will be a remanufactured long block from GM. It should carry a 3year/100,000 mile warranty, but double check with the dealer since it is a warranty replacement now. The reman engines incorporate all the running changes to the blocks.

I understand but will it have more problems in the future? I guess no one would know for sure, just wanted to be little more at ease to know from peoples experiences with rebuilt engines. Thanks though.
