I haul my road bike and mountain bike back there a lot, the rubber helps it from sliding as well as stops scratches on my bikes.

Thats odd.  I thought they were including the vehicles specific towing capacity on the new model.

Aren't they though?  you just subtract off your curb weight from the GCWR if I am not mistaking.  Somebody else will chime in for me if I am incorrect.

They are indirectly. Divide the 930 lb max tongue  weight by 10%... 9300 lbs

Hmm.  My 2012 max tow is 10.4k.  

 

OP.   Does your new truck have the max tow package? Or just the 6.2?

Just the 6.2 and off road (X31) package. 

 

No max tow package

Yep. It’s better. Not ground breaking better, but it’s better for sure.
