Yeah, I’m sure you m is this already but it sounds like you were dead set on getting the black leather and that’s what they gave you. In your original post you said nothing about switching the seat belts and other trim pieces. I know you probably thought that was implied but but unless it was specifically talked about they installed the black leather you asked for. It sucks I know but that’s what it sounds like to me.

The discussions that we had with the salesman was that we wanted the ebony black interior and that we wanted leather.  We discussed in length with the salesman and the finance manager that we wanted the ebony black interior with leather.  But ultimately the little piece of paper that said install leather is what they are hanging their hat on.  Technically they are right, all they needed to do was to install leather, if that's the deal fine, just finish installing the leather, everything that is called leather by GM needs to be added.

I agree with you 100%. Not trying to be rude but OP wasn’t very smart is this whole situation. The dealership fulfilled their obligations. I feel bad for OP because the whole situation sucks but it is what it is.

No offense taken..

You're talking the two little squares on the front seats where your butt goes . Period. They are finished installing the "leather." Please tell us you didn't fall for the "it's got leather interior" scam.

Yeah pretty much, well at least that's what they are trying to get me to keep.  Not that I have much to stand on I guess at this point.

It is just an unfortunate set of circumstances and miscommunication.

Maybe you can live with the unique color combo or change out the Black leather covers for some Katzkin tan/cocoa covers to match rest of interior.

I think it would be very expensive and labor intensive to convert the rest of the materials to black.

They are Katzkin covers, which I'm totally fine with. It's the seat bases that are really outta place.

Have you priced out the plastic pieces and seat belts? Cost? If it makes you feel any better Katzkin is much better than the factory  leather. In fact on my SLT the entire back seat in vinyl and not leather. Only a couple squares in front are leather.

Katzkin is Real Leather.

Factory " Leather "  is really Pleather.

Sort of, getting the part numbers is a major pain.  I've gone through and identified most of the parts but it's almost like everyone who sells them shows different part numbers.  I found a set of seats in black cloth from a wrecked truck that they only wanted $250 for all of them, but they were out of a W/T so no power.

They are nice, I won't dispute that.  They 2.5 months later and most all the wrinkles are out, just few are left.

Unless you just want to fight fight fight, I would just have them put the truck back to original and then have some seat cover leather covers made for what you want done, or unfortunately just settle for the stock interior. Sometimes it's not even worth pursuing with unfortunate miscommunications and imbalanced interpretations

The Katzkin is probably better material than OEM, however that color combo result you're left with looks really odd.  That will probably impact resale, etc.  If everything was already black, and they just changed the seat covers to leather, it would be fine.  I would probably go back to original color either in the cloth or a Katzkin leather match so it looked more uniform.

Unfortunately you may need to eat the cost of some of this to get it right.

That's putting it mildly, it looks like shit.  All in all if I have to eat it and buy some stupid plastic covers I'll end up doing that, but until I've exhausted all other options I'll still be a little bitch about it.  The biggest issue that I have is probably the sales managers attitude with me.  But his job is to make the dealership the most amount of money he can for them.  They got a little extra on that one, but I'll only buy accessories and if I have a dealership services done at another dealership.  All warranty or recall work will be done through them.
