Remote start

On the GMC build.  Why does remote start come up as a "dealer installed" accessory.  Is there no factory option?

The same occurred when I ordered my High Country!  When I asked the Dealer if I need to add it, he told me you have to check the Standard Features on the Model you are ordering (e.g. Remote start is standard on High Country).

Hopefully it has more range than the older trucks did.

Actually, I have found it to be shorter range than my 2016!  It appears, requiring the keyless remote to be in close proximity to the Truck in order to work has resulted in a slight reduction of total output power of the new remote.    However, you can always use the OnStar phone app and remote start your Truck from anywhere even another State or Provinces.

Anything SLE or above trim wise should have remote start
