Anyone order towing camera package?

One of the things I was looking forward to with getting a new truck was having some cameras for towing. I was really disappointed that that adding the package to the Denali takes away the technology package with hud, surround camera and rear camera display. Can someone explain how the towing cameras work with the towing camera package? I also went to test drive the Denali and tried to get the cameras to work while moving and they were all disabled except for the hitch camera (which doesn't make sense) Also in one of the videos the gm engineer said you should be able to press on the cameras for 8 seconds. I know gm has/had the echomaster system but when I had my 15 Denali it wasn't available and really wasn't "factory" Also I assume the new system for the 2019 is just the echomaster from the factory with some updates/changes?

 

Am I missing something? Can some explain the towing camera package vs the Denali

It does suck that you can't get it and the Technology Package. 

 

Also GM isn't looking art putting towing mirrors on the 1500's from here on out.  I guess they feel the TCP is what everyone should be using if they tow.  To me it doesn't make sense.

that is what I was saying, the cameras look exactly the same and have the same views but you can't use them on the Denali while moving? I am all for keeping the 1500 mirrors, especially if I could see down the side of my truck with the cameras. Even in the damn video for the PROGRADE TRAILERING SYSTEM" it shows the driver switching the mirror over.

They just finished the Canadian King Truck Challenge, which is an on/off-road truck shootout that tests trucks loaded, empty, and towing. 5 out of 5 reviewers disliked the towing camera citing it as too intense, distracting and taking away from peripheral vision. Overall Ram took home the win with high praise towards the F150.
