Well from what I can hear it sounds like noise goes away when I turn to the right. Nose stays the same when i turn left.

If it is bad do you have to change the whole hub assembly or just bearings? Would that be covered under power train warranty?

Not part of powertrain warranty.  The bearing is a complete assembly.  Easy to change out.   You can get them for a great price at Rock Auto.com

Put a jack under it, lift the front, grab tire @ 12 &6 and see if you can move it up and down. Simple takes <5 minutes. The front wheel bearings went on my '09 at about 50K.

Out of 10 noise wheel bearings I see, probably only 3 or 4 of them have any noticeable play. They will start to make noise long before they have play. To the OP, run your hand along your front tires, especially the inner most shoulder of the tire. See if it is uneven between each tread block. This is called "cupping". With your mileage if you are on OE tires I can bet your tires are probably cupped badly and starting the noise. You can also drive at highway speeds and lightly swere left and right to see if the noise actually changes when the vehicles moves side to side. If it is a wheel bearing the noise will most likely change when going left or right. But as I said feel the tires first because more times than not customers that think they have a bearing issue usually boils down to just an unevenly worn tire. Let me know

My 2006 Sierra needed new wheel bearings at 22,000 miles and it was covered under warranty. They would start to make clunking sounds at lower speeds. Just replaced them again at 180,000 miles. These didn’t make any noise until the driver side bearing got really bad and I had to stop driving it until I could order the replacements. Don’t go to the dealership if you’re warranty is up. They quoted me $800 per side to replace them. I did it myself for $470 for both sides.48a5e0bca44dda39bfc59f9fde379dbc.jpg

You may just have a rock stuck in the caliper or between the tin shield and it is rubbing on the brake rotor! Hard to believe a wheel bearing would be pooched with just 40,000.

That's what I was thinking for a wheel bearing.

It depends on how well they were packed with grease when manufacturered
