08gmc17 Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 (edited) Hello everyone, I figured I would make a thread to showing my interior swap. I’m going from a 2008 gmc 2500 to a 2017 Chevy high country interior. So far I’ve swapped over the back seat and carpet. Back seat bolts directly in. Darksky Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Shouldn’t you be cleaning it as you go along, rather than trying to do everything at the end? it looks like one heck of an upgrade.
08gmc17 Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 (edited) Cleaning as in what? Vacuum and clean the carpets? Well yes I will go back and do that but for now everything is getting mocked up then torn apart, dyno matted and interior pieces painted. There is a method to my madness lol Edited November 24, 2018 by 08gmc17

08gmc17 Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 Better looking seats, center console, dash and steering wheel, and bc I can lol i like custom stuff 1
Darksky Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I was thinking about the the seats and all the big pieces. The leather looks like it could use some love. I didn’t realize you were just mocking up for now. I just thought it would be a lot easier to clean the pieces before installing them. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. It is an enormous upgrade that will really look phenomenal when done. I agree that you’re a glutton for punishment, as I’m certain that there is a lot of custom work required for it to fit even remotely correctly. But what a huge payoff when it’s done. Where did you get the complete interior?
08gmc17 Posted November 27, 2018 Author Posted November 27, 2018 seats need a little love not much, and i got them in. i had to remove the mounts from the original seats and had to weld them onto the new seats. So now is to get all the wiring ready for the dash
Darksky Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Keep posting the steps. I’m hooked on this thread.
Nate6.0 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 That looks so sweet...I was thinking about swapping to leather from my cloth but was thinking of keeping it to same generation.
