Z71 questions

Question 1 - The media guide lists the height of a 4x4 non Trail Boss crew cab as being 75.5".  Does anyone know where I could find the height of a crew cab with Z71 and the 20" wheels that are included with Z71 in the LTZ trim?   My parking garage at work is 77" so I'm cutting it close as is.

Question 2 - Do you think the Z71 will ride materially rougher than a regular LTZ?  I'm coming from a Colorado ZR2 which is bumpy as hell on normal freeway and I now want the smoothest experience possible without magnetic suspension.

About to pull the trigger on a Z71 LTZ as well. No clue on #1. For #2, I drove a Z71 with 20’s and a non-Z71 with 22’s. The 22’s made it ride rough but the 20’s on the Z71 felt pretty smooth. Not any more bouncy than the one with 22’s but definitely a smoother ride (didn’t feel every road imperfection, etc).

BTW, I had a 2016 Yukon Denali with the magnetic suspension. I absolutely hated it. Felt like Flintstone tires. Never again.

I’m curious what others think that have driven a Z71 and a non-Z71.

I have a High Country Z71 and the height looks to be 75 to 76 inches. Rough in with measuring tape. The ride seems really good with the

Z71 equipment.

A Trail Boss or AT4 equipped 2019 GM truck has a factory 2" lift kit.

These two packages will sit higher than the Silverado Z71 or Sierra X31 packages.

Trail Boss, AT4, Z71 and X31 all come with Tenneco Brand (Rancho) labeled shocks.

I have a 2019 Silverado LTZ/ Z-71 with 20" tires and my antenna just touches by a quarter inch  on my 7 foot door opening.

You will be able to answer both of these questions by test driving the trucks you are considering.  I am very cautious with posted heights in parking garages and would not enter with <2" clearance.  (Unless my salesman is with me on a test drive ;-) )

Really???  So I'm SOL on a 6' 5" garage?  That's strange given the posted height of 75" (6' 3") on the GM website.

That’s the tip of the antenna.. higher than the truck roof. I will measure it for you a little later.

Just bought a 2019 LTZ Z71 and i hate the ride. Too bumpy at low speed too bouncy at high speed. I'm going to try changing shocks when some Bilsteins become available to see if that helps. Didn't notice this piss poor ride on my test drive, wish the dealer would buy it back.
