I just got my new RST Z71 yesterday and the Sirius radio is working great.  Never bought any brand vehicle in last 10 years without satellite radio

Bought a RST to realize the same thing 2 days later. Not at all happy with GM about that one

My LT Z71 didnt have XM either.

But, all you have to do to get it, is hook up your phone and stream XM. You can still make calls and take calls and anything else.

Its actually a better deal in a way consider8you can skip and rewind when you stream.

Hope this helps!

I’m doing the same for now but I don’t have unlimited data and a 54 mile per day commute round trip. Just seems silly not to include this on an LT trim standard. Btw the response I got back from GM customer service is they couldn’t speculate on this and I should contact Sirius XM. I mean either it’s upgradable or it isn’t. WTH?

GM Customer Service (even the escalated level) is a joke. They denied the "Climate Off" issue for months, even with the information from several hundred if not thousand customers had the issue. They troll these forums but don't use the information shared...

It sure seems like GM kind of went the with the lets cut cost by leaving out a few of the creature comforts the even my 2016 WT1 had the the new 2019 one I got doesn't. I added this to get my Sirius to work the way I like, I tried the portable receiver but didn't like it.

But, even with VAIS, ( and please, correct me if I'm wrong ) you still have to have an antennae with wire on the outside of your truck?

I seriously considered VAIS, but didnt want to fool with hiding that wire that has to go from the inside of the truck outside. ( the antenna wire )

I have Serius on my LT TB and I would never pay for it, the sound quality sucks!! You’re much better off with Pandora or Spotify. I use Spotify and with offline mode I have all the music I need wherever I go, reception or not.

I need to check that out.

I like SiriusXM because I really like to listen to Mad Dog Sports and my little girl loves the music channel #2

Spotify would prolly solve the music for her, but I would hate to loose Mad Dog.

I really like Morning Men, Shein On Sports, Steve The Judge Torre & Danny Kanell, and of course, The Mad Dog himself, Christopher Russo.

Channel 82 on XM, if anyone is interested.

Ahh yeah I haven’t thought of that. There are podcasts on Spotify, and there’s free apps for that too but probably not that one. There are certainly some exclusives on Sirius you won’t get anywhere else. My twin daughters love Dolly Parton and some kid songs so that’s their playlist :)

Just got my 2019 Silverado LT.  Never gave it a thought that it had no xm radio. I would have chose differently. My 2016 Custom had it. Thought I up graded! LOL

No worries. I thought the same thing.

But, like I said no worries. You can stream XM no problem.
