Two days ago I would have been agreeing with the OP. But yesterday my 18LTZ died on the road out of town 250 miles away from home. So here I sit waiting for a dealer to look at it. They said they would get it in at 7:30 this morning, now they say maybe this afternoon.....

It would be different if it happened local, I would be home and happy to wait on the dealer.

^^^Yes, things can change real quick.

But think how boring a forum would be if all everyone did was stroke themselves about how good their truck is. I come here for the dirt so I can keep an eye out for issues before they get out of hand.

Both my trucks have performed flawlessly. My Silver (Silver Bullet)2018 5.3 Double cab LT I bought in May has 16,500 miles on it and don't vibrate, shifts like it should no clunking and runs like a Swiss watch. Averages 18.5 mpg 60 / 40 city hwy. Best was 23.9 on the hwy on a 225 mile trip.

My 2018 Black Crew cab (Black Betty)5.3 6.5 bed is just as good. Not a hint of vibration. No tranny clunking. 2300 miles. Smooth as a baby's ass at 97mph . Runs awesome. Pulls a 5000lb trailer without even breaking a sweat. Mileage is averaging 17.5 mostly in town. Best was 22.7 on a 190 mile trip on the hwy. Pulling the 5000 lb.loaded trailer into a 20mph headwind I got 11mpg running at 60 mph in 5th gear tow haul on. On the return trip empty trailer it got 14.4 mpg .

I couldn't be happier with both trucks. They perform like a Chevy should.

I hate reading about the problems some of you guys are having and I feel for you. I'm Chevy to the bone. It sucks.

I just thought I would use this forum for some good news, not all the bad stuff I read on here.20180604_171338.thumb.jpg.7595edab26692b2443da760953cbd234.jpg

If you don't mind me asking, what trailer do you have?  Any pics along with the truck pulling it?

It's a H&H 14' x 7' x 6' 6" tall inside with the v front and ramp door. Tandem axle. Empty weight is around 2150lbs. Total cargo weight is 4850

I have a 2017 Sierra 1500 that works great too.  Reading this forum absolutely freaks me out.  I am often thinking "did I luck out or is the other shoe about to drop?".  I wounder what percentage of total trucks sold actually have problems.  It would also be interesting to know what percentage of trucks with problems are due to modifications, lack of maintenance or abuse.  If buying a new truck is like playing Russian roulette it would be nice to know how many rounds are in the pistol.

You can try the website linked below but you might end up scaring yourself even more. I think if you're using it to compare vehicles, you should know sales figures for each one. For instance, far more issues are reported on the Sierra/ Silverado than on the Tundra but there are also far fewer Tundras sold.
