Flex Fuel beat over and over

I read a ton of articles on here regarding E85 conversion and there seems to be conflicting information. Is the fuel mapping on the 2017 trucks already or does it need to be programmed to run the E85? My truck is a 2017 Silverado with the 5.3l (non-FF). Looking at adding an e85 kit but some say I need it programmed and some say the tables are already there and will read once the sensor is plugged in.

Can anyone offer 100% certainty on this topic?

Thanks. Sorry this topic is hit once again......

I'm not 100% sure. There is a plug and play option. So you add parts and PCM see it. I just not sure it it auto enables it. On older vehicles no but on some forums people say it will. I know with HPT it can be added.
Also the gm parts are so much cheaper and cleaner then the expensive kits that you have cut cut line to install. Somewhere on the forum are all the parts listed. Good luck.

OH and if you are going turbo or supercharger save time and money and skip e85. Unless you are going to upgrade fuel. System also.
