2015 Silverado 5.3 liter

Part # 84016022

Purchased from https://www.shopchevyparts.com/

Price $426.84 with tax and shipping after 5% off coupon

The following is instruction manual, pictures final install pic, and video from you tube showing install. I did not make one considering there was already one available for install. I was looking into other intakes my dad has a 2014 Silverado with 5.3 and he has the K&N 57-3082 which is a nice unit as well but I was looking for a intake that has the filter enclosed with clear cover and this was my favorite option. Another plus is that it is OEM so no reason for GM to void any warranty being it is there product (I still have power train left). I am very pleased with the product look and feel. I definitely see a difference in power compared to stock set up and it sounds nice. Just wanted to share product for anyone thinking of getting a intake system for there truck so they can consider this option.

That set up looks good.

Is the filter dry type  or clean and oil like the K&N ?

X2...bet it’s dry with that clear “window” not that it blows outward...just a guess ?

I assume no change to stock tune is necessary being a gm accessory? Looks good

Yes as far as I know no tune necessary. I’m really happy with the look and I don’t have much to worry about in the rain with an enclosed box compared to the K&N in the open.

Well I guess they didn’t make an option for yours. Kinda sucks hopefully you still find a nice one. I liked the S&B intakes but they didn’t have a smog legal for my truck because I have flex fuel even though I don’t use that fuel. Maybe they have one for your truck.
