The long requested spark plug change video is here! In this video (Click Here) we change the spark plugs on my 2014 Silverado with the 5.3L EcoTec3 L83 V8 motor.

The process used in this video should be identical to the 6.0L V8 and the V6 Silverado and Sierra Models as well.

This process should be identical for the following vehicles:
2014 - 2018 Chevy Silverado
2014 - 2018 GMC Sierra

And very similar to many other GM trucks like the Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, and Yukon.

I am so happy to have the 4.3 after watching this. :D

You made a note of the wet sound deadening material on the drivers side. Did you do anything with that?

Haha yes you should have no problem with the 4.3. No, I cleaned it out as best I could. I feel like the sound deadening fell from somewhere else. After thinking about it more, I am wondering if the windshield drains into that area. If it does, that is a poor design. I do plan to investigate it further when I have the time.

Thanks for the video. How difficult is it to get the liners back in?

You got it! They are super easy to put back in. There are some tabs at the front that help hold them in place until you get the first couple of screws started.

I will be putting in another set in next week or two for my K2 and the K2's are really pretty easy and not like the #8 on older GMT's. K2's seems like more room is given.  Looking at the T1's does not look like fun at all but I don't know never seen it up close in real life?

Not the first I've heard of this piece of insulation. Seems a moisture trap. Need a fix for this, yes? PM me when you find one.

Ok - Yeah. I will try to get back in there and figure out what is going on and what I can do to fix it. Maybe I'll pull the sound deadening out.

Honestly, this wasn't as bad as people have claimed. I think they had a hard time because they tried to get to the plugs from the top. Going from the fender area makes it pretty easy.

Great - ok. I definitely will need to do something about this so it does rot out. Thanks for the heads - up.
