Fox 2.0 Coilover Question

I've got 3" of rake now based on measuring center of hub to bottom of well. I should still have a little rake after the switch.

If I still had my building (construction co.) with the 2 ton crane and tools, I'd change all 4. In the driveway...nope.

I appreciate the input. I know I read that your CST kept your track the same, and I've read that leveling can create angle problems in the front suspension, wearing out parts earlier. You guys confirmed what I thought...coil-overs don't create the problem. Already knew they ride better.

 

Now to set aside the money.

Now to set aside the money.

 

CST, King and Fox make Coil Overs that will lift your front approximately 2”+. These high end coil overs will last a long time and give you great reliability and enjoyment having them on your vehicle. You can even go taller coil overs but they’ll require new UCA’s which will vastly improve front end articulation. Either one you choose, remember, in the suspension world, you get what you pay for and never cheapen out just to get the look.

 

Just FYI, If you know for sure you’re keeping your truck for a very long time then I’d look into a CST 4.5” Lift. $1600 and a pair of rear shocks totaling $1800 parts. Then get it installed and you’ll have a superior foundation on which to build on. Zero widening of your track width or turning radius and you can keep your stock wheels, allowing up to 35” tires. You’re saving money on not having to buy wheels and tires unless you want to unlike the other brands. It comes with everything except rear shocks unless you order those along, the ride quality is stock like cause you’re not changing your suspension geometry at all. Your factory ability to tow has not changed either, Just something to think about.

I like the looks of it, and think your truck looks great. Just not what I need. And for me, needs out weigh wants on vehicle mods.

I've mailed a few sets of motorcycle front forks that are probably about the same weight and usually about 45-50 bucks (Ground shipping. And I think it actually had to be ground only for some reason)

Really haven't even considered selling the rear stock shocks. They have about 8000 miles on the rears.

What shock,or lift setup did you go to since removing the fox?

I installed the 4.5" CST  bracket lift with the CST full coilovers.

The Fox's were nice, for sure better then the stock struts. In fact I considered using them with the CST lift. I decided to use the CST coilover to eliminate the 4 1/2" spacer that I would need to run on top of the Fox struts. The Fox struts would have needed to be adjusted back to 0 " of lift  also.
