Transmission control module code p0700

I recently had my truck serviced for transmission shuttering. They just flushed out the transmission fluid, and sent me on my way. Now a few months later my check engine light comes on and the code is p0711. For a transmission fluid temperature sensor performance. Has anyone had this problem before and what was the solution?

What truck model and engine trans combo? What do you do with the truck? I find it hard to believe there is a major issue on a 6speed unless the sensor is bad. Now 8speed oh yes can be a bucket of things.

Sensors are known to fail all the time.

Hopefully it is external plug and play if that is indeed the culprit.
