There’s some bad stuff going around the Internet, misleading people.

You should not add spacers to a leveling strut, can it be done yes, should be done? NO! It’s either one or the other, not both. Get a real lift kit if you’re trying to get higher. I’ve seen far to many messed up trucks in my life time with jigging it up cause they were looking for that look.

I’ve gathered it shouldn’t be done. But WHY?? What does it harm? Why can it be don’t if the leveling strut is set to the stock setting but not if you start raising the setting?

another question, does anyone know how to adjust height on bilstein struts? Do you gotta compress the spring to move the clip?

First off, you don’t stack, it’s destructive to your suspension and not correct geometry for your front suspension. You’re obviously trying to get a lifted look and it’s understood but there are multiple ways you can get that look without screwing up your suspension and it’s dangerous cause it’s designed to fit a stable base and not a block raised base. Popping noises will be somewhat noticeable but not a stable platform. I’ve heard of shifting happening on hard turns which goes back to being dangerous. You can get a cheap price lift for the amount you’re spending on all this and at the same time keeping your stock front struts, just need new ones in rear.

You can buy an RC 5” bracket lift for approximately $1100 which has gotten great reviews even being an RC product.

There’s even a 3.5” lift with uca’s just make sure you get diff drop too

I’m not at all a fan of RC but either one of these is better than stacking and later breaking your crap just for a look

The 5” bracket lift won’t require new wheels and keeps stock turning radius and will not give you that ugly wide track width up front so in a way this 5” bracket lift save you money!

I’m not out for a lifted look. I’m looking to take approximately.5” of the 1.5” of rake my 2” level left. I also don’t want to keep stock struts, I’m in the market for bilstein for more than just the adjustability capability.
