Hey there everyone, just joined the forums, excited to be a part of the community!

I have a question regarding a lift.  I currently have a 2 inch rough country leveling kit installed and my truck is dead nuts level, i wanna bring the entire truck up 2 to 3 inches with a lift.  If i remove the leveling kit, what would i need numbers wise to bring it up and keep it level?  Like 4 in the front and 2 in the rear?

Thanks for any help,

Alex

Completely depends on your budget, want high quality or just the lifted look driving on pavement only, and whether you care keeping your stock track width, turning radius and if you’re wanting to keep stock wheels?

Welcome to this forum.  You may save yourself a lot of money and aggravation by reading some of the threads regarding levels and lifts on this forum.  You may come away with the opinion that dead nuts level isn't necessarily a good quality.  Adding larger blocks or  leafs  to the rear may give you a more aggressive look and better load carrying potential.  You can do a lot of enhancements to your truck that compliment your current 2" level.  The great thing about such a level is that it is easily reversible.  Re-sale on a modified truck can be disappointing.  If money isn't a concern, then I'd seriously consider a full blown 6" or better professionally installed lift!

Thanks for all the responses!  To answer a few questions, i do have some mods.  I have 33s with 1.5" spacers on the wheel to add a little poke.  Since i installed the spacers the tires rub. I don't off-road, it's more for aesthetics.  I just want to pick it up a few inches, not a big fan of the big lifts.  Just trying to figure out if a 2 inch lift will pick the whole thing up level or if i need a higher lift in the front to compensate for the difference?

Thanks again!

Ok, so you’re looking to have approximately a 3.5” -4 ” lift from “stock”? If this is the case and not interested in anything taller, maybe look at 3.5-4” lifts making 100% sure they come with differential drops or else your front end will be destroyed.

Not knowing your budget and considering your current setup, I’d assume you’re wanting to be as low cost as possible as well as not an off-roading truck so I’d recommend like a Zone which will poke your front wheels out without spacers or Rough Country which I’m not at all a fan of but their “Bracket Lifts approx $1200” are not bad at all and will not widen your track width or turning radius. You’ll also need new rear shocks to accommodate the rear. Do not stack leveling kits unless you want your truck to ride like a 1ton truck. If you’re wanting to keep your truck for many years more I’d highly recommend a Bad Ass CST 4.5” lift kit, it’s a superior quality lift approx $1650.00

Cost for lifts do not include rear shocks unless added at time of ordering and do not include installation which depends on the shop.
Last thing, It’s VITAL that you do not go cheap on your suspension, your suspension is the building foundation of your truck, all lifts are not created equal and it’s true, you get what you pay for!

So i probably wasn't clear enough when i described my lift.  I have the rough country 2 inch lift in the front(it was like $80) and it's stock in the back.  Looking at putting this on the truck.  https://www.americantrucks.com/supreme-suspensions-2-front-2-rear-pro-lift-kit-0718-silverado-1500.html

My question is would my truck be level after installing this or would it still sag in the front considering the kit i have in now it's 2 inch.

Sorry for all the questions and i appreciate all the help!

You’ve got a 2” leveled front and want to add another leveling kit to it? After you’ve already raised your front end with the 2” it should already be leveled, adding more height in the front will give you the squat in the rear look.

you can't add that to the 2" leveling kit you already have. you'll tear your CV's and destroy your TRE's and BJ's, possibly even snapping BJ's. if you want 4" you need an actual lift kit, not a leveling kit.

I'll be removing said 2 inch kit and put in a new lift kit similar to the one i put the link to.

Lift kit or leveling kit?

The link you’ve provided is not a lift kit but a front level with added rear lift blocks.

Was under the impression you were interested in doing an actual lift kit with diff drops bracket/knuckle or spindles etc, not a leveling kit.

You are right in doing more research.  As TXGEEK said, the link you provided is to a 2" leveling kit, which is what you already have (minus the rear blocks).  Generating the 2" of height up front by putting the spacer on the top instead of the bottom of the strut is still a level.  Replacing your OEM rear blocks with taller ones is a relatively easy and inexpensive modification..  Your goal of improving the looks of your truck can be achieved without compromising the safety and function of your vehicle.  I would not drive a vehicle with rubbing wheels any further than required to fix the problem.   FWIW, I also like the look of a truck with a little more brawn than stock appearance. My plan is to install a 1.5" level "kit" (bottom of front shock spacers) and an extra leaf to both of my rear leaf springs.  This will give my truck a more heavy duty appearance and aid in handling the tongue weight of my travel trailer.  My next set of tires may have little more width but the aspect (height) will be kept close to stock.
