This is a crying shame. This should not be happening to a truck that is only 4 years old. I might go back and just buy myself a Toyota Tacoma. This is happening to my 2019 trail boss and I am not impressed.

Same issue... 2019 Custom Trail Boss... @1800 miles, towed to dealer as parking brake would not disengage (computer reprogrammed); 4100 miles, service 4wd and parking brake engaged, was able to get electronic brake to disengage (been at dealer for 2 weeks, replacing actuator and contacts).  Was given a loaner vehicle.  Hoping to get vehicle back soon and that this fix works!

11/16/19 -- vehicle still at dealer, waiting on "new connectors"!!!

This is exactly what's happening to my same year same truck. This is a crying shame. This should not be happening to a 4 year old truck. Might go back and buy a Tacoma next. I used to have a 2000 4runner and never had this problem no matter how old it was.

Sensors came in and they are currently installing them... hopefully thats the fix.....

Just found out this is the issue with my 2019 custom trailboss. Fixable. But my grind is why is this happening to a 4 year old truck? This is unacceptable. If this is happening everywhere, should this not be a civil suit? I mean they charge an arm and a leg for a new truck only to have it break down in 4 years?! This is so stupid already.

Here's what happened so far to this "new" truck.

Oil coolant hose popped off. Had to get them to fix and was worried about internal damage.

Back up camera is dying.

4wd service.

Parking brake engaging automatically after I got the "service 4wd" sign. And they say it's not related to the 4wd. I think it is because that never happened until the 4wd service light went on.

Check engine light keeps going on periodically and then it's off again.

Wtf?

Apparently this is another issue that GM will stick their head in the sand and hope nobody notices that all of these issues are VERY similar!  Just like the poor quality lifters they put in their 6.2, 6.0, and 5.3 but GM wouldn't honor covering the fix when it was a known problem!  I spent over $5,000 on my 2015 Sierra 1500 with the 6.2 to put better quality lifters in that GM should have used to build their engines in the first place.  Now, I apparently made the same mistake purchasing a brand new 2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4 that has 180 miles on it and I TOO am getting the Service 4WD message and the parking brake auto sets!  The weather has been very nice and I have YET to even try to switch out of 2WD.  So explain to me GM why this issue is happening!  COME ON GM!!!  Do better!  These issues are UNACCEPTABLE!  We do not have the time to constantly bring our vehicles to the dealer because your Quality Control/Quality Assurance, and company standards obviously suck.  Good thing Toyota doesn't make a 3/4 ton or GM trucks would be put out of business!  I believe a strong civil suit sits just within this thread alone and I'd bet this is just the handful of people who searched the issue out for themselves!  A good law firm will have a heyday with this.
