Differential Gear Oil LS

Hello there!

I hope I'm in the right place. I have a 2002 Yukon 1500 XL 5.3 3.73 rear end with 4-wheel drive. I want to change the diff fluid for front and rear. I'd like to use Synthetic - specifically I'm looking at Mobil 1, but it states it has LS additive. I know these diffs don't require it, but will the LS oil be bad for these diffs? Valvoline Synthetic also says it is for Limited Slip applications. Should I just look harder for Syn that doesn't spec for LS? Or is it safe to use on my Yuk?

Thanks in advance!

Have a great day!

You're fine. It's adding additional friction modifier, which is unnecessary, that can be a problem
