2016 Chevy 2500hd 4x4 Steering wheel shake while braking

More info helps tremendously, when does it do it worse, slow braking, freeway speeds, downhill, ect….

It's not every time I brake but it is when braking from HWY speeds , shaking in the steering wheel . Truck has about 34,000 miles on it.

Warped rotor's. Possibly,,    have brake shop check on it , or dealer if you get inspection during oil change or other service.

Look for grooves ground into the front brake rotors. GM will replace for free. Bad batch from China.

 

If not that, have tires balanced.

If it only shakes while braking,  then you have a brake issue.. Tires out of balance should be a constant shake and change with speed.

I was thinking rotors , just wandering if anyone else had this , thanks for the info guys

I have the same issue.  It’s not brakes.  I have about 100,000 miles and on 3rd set of tires.  Seems to be associated with tire wear on front tires.  Just rotated again and looking to see it gone again.  Disappeared when new tires were installed.  This is independent front axle so no stabilizer like older live-axle designs.
