Just curious about stock rwhp and torque for the l83 5.3. I've done some exhaust and bolt on stuff and I never did a baseline before I started. I've seen as much as 296 stock hp at wheels( Whipple site) just wondering if people have seen much lower. The main reason I ask is I already had Cai , Corsa exhaust , and kooks long tubes with a 93 Diablo tune from lew . I had all of that before first ever Dyno which showed 306 hp and like 330 something torque. I was expecting much higher with all of that , but maybe I wasn't starting with as much hp as I thought. After adding e85 sensor and L86 intake/l86 ported throttle body and Dyno tune I'm at 350hp 390tq. 2016 Silverado ccsb

Not sure what you are worried about, those are pretty good numbers for minor bolt ons.  You're getting factory flywheel type numbers at the rear wheels!  That's probably about a 20% gain.  I say nice work.

Dang. I’m wondering what I’m at honestly. Intake, y pipe, exhaust and tune from 5star.  The truck def doesn’t feel slow. But I was wanting to do the l86 mani and TB. 390torque would be realllly nice

That’s really good numbers I’d like to see that out of my truck it’s a 14 5.3 I did cold air intake swapped l86intake and tb still need a tune next headers and exhaust . My truck wheel  drive too . Do you have picture of dyno sheet ?

First one has three runs, before e85 , after e85, after e85 dynotune.

Solo run is after intake and throttle body swap

Nice  did you change any of your shift points rpm ? I know my truck pulls harder with l86 intake and tb it wants more rpm.

I wish mine had a Whipple! Whipple site Dyno shows 450 at the wheels on an otherwise stock 5.3.

Awesome!  She ought to be fun!

Mine is bone stock and it was 278tq and 303hp?  If I remember correctly?

These are really interesting numbers. I currently have a cold air intake and borla exhaust on my truck. Going to be adding shorty headers and L86 intake manifold and throttle body with an HPTuners tune. My goal is to make RWHP of around 320-330 and RWT upwards of the 360 range. I think I'm being optimistic but we'll see what happens...

If you check out AFEs intake or exhaust for our trucks, they have a factory dyno pull on their site. Then with the bolt on dyno.

how much Torque Management did your tuner take out ?

I'm still hoping one of you hot rodders will bolt on some Doug Thorley Tri-Y's headers...
