question for you, have you used this setup on a 12k  lb load up extended grades? I have the same setup and considering a 34 ft %th wheel, but no experience. will I be the guy at 30mph in the right lane watching his temperature climb?

Unfortunately, I've not driven up many grades as it isn't very hilly in MN (elev. is only around ~1200 feet where I live). That said, I've never seen the trans temp climb above 200ish even on 90* days while pulling. As far as speed, you'll likely have it gaffed to the floor climbing with >10k lbs, but I wouldn't think you'll be in trouble keeping in the right lane and all.

I tow 1 Long Ton COAL  ( 2240 lbs) in the bed, and 3 Long tons ( Coal) on the trailer ( 6720) . I am under the 16K towing, maxed on the bed really though.  I have a super transmission cooler, and do not have any issues.

Great looking rig I’ve had 2 diesels I miss them if I’m loaded heavy going through the mountains but at the end of the day my 6.0 gasser is a total reliable, simple, workhorse it gets the job done either way ?

No pictures but I have pulled up to the 10000 lb mark or so with my 03, 04 and 05 1500HD's ( 04 is a LD 2500 but its the same truck).  All stock tire size and 4.10 geared trucks.  That said I have a 2017 2500HD 6 liter truck and I dropped 4.56's in it.  I have a 295/60/20 on the truck which measure out about 33.5" tall and it's awesome to pull with.  Tons of pulling power down low with the 4.02:1 first in the 6L90e and I cruise less rpm than any of my 4.10 gear older 4L80e truck with the .67:1 6th.  The 17 is now my dedicated trailer pulling truck and that's about all I ever drive it for.

What are your rpms around 70 with the 4.56’s when I get my 6.0 6 speed combo I thought about putting them in with 33’s I thing that would be about perfect for towing

I tow the travel trailer 6 times a year, my cargo trailer 4 times a week. She weighs about 7k lbs

Whats funny is those r my towing mpg running e85. I have now switched to 87 cause of the price spread.

4:10, debating new truck.or go 4:56 route. Just unsure if its worth the loss of mileage.
