New Silverado-looking

Wow. I can't believe how hard it is to find a used truck that has all the options you want. I have looked on line at hundreds of them. I have found some hundreds of miles away but nothing so far in Central Florida.

Here's what I want:

2014-2018 Silverado 1500 V-8 5.3

 Axle 3.42

4WD

Double cab Standard box

Cloth seats

Z-71 and trailer equipped

No exterior white, bright red, or black

Prefer Graphite metallic with chrome bumpers and grille

Not many out there. Am I asking too much???

Thanks

I think you'd have better luck finding a crew cab standard bed. The standard bed and 3.42 gears are where you're gonna have issues. Not many started beds or there and 3.42's are and added option. Most lower trim models people just want the bare bones...

The z71 didnt come with chrome bumpers did it? Adding standard bed double cab and removing white and black would limit choices quite a bit.

Then again, GM sells a tons of these trucks. Likely the combo is out there.

Z71s have painted bumpers not chrome. To find what you want you’re either looking for a special order or a truck that’s been in an accident.

So yes, what you’re looking for is too much.

Good point. OP didn’t mention that Sierras were an option... so something in his list must give.

Double cab standard bed, and crew cab short bed are most common trucks because they share the same wheelbase. The crew cab standard bed are alot more rare. Remember, standard bed is the longer 6.5 bed. Short bed is 5.7 or 5.8 bed.

Duke, you are wrong.

As for painted bumpers... Depends on what year... My 14 LTZ Z71. Chrome bumpers. From the factory. Never in an accident..

Another pic of my LTZ and my buddies Sierra..

I believe 16+ z71 came with painted bumpers. 14-15 came with chrome.

These trucks are a dime a dozen. Should be able to find one easy.

The trouble is a two to three year old truck is still around 30 G.

You can pickup a new 19 truck like what you want for $32,000.

Miller Chev in Rogers Mn has a bunch of these . This one even has the 5.3 instead of the 4 banger.

But it's white.

With prices like this I wouldn't even waste my time looking at a used one.

Ah yes I always forget about the ‘14-15s. If OP’s desire for chrome is that strong he’ll need to amend his search to either ‘14-15s, or include Sierras into the mix (which he hadn’t mentioned as being an option). Barring that, it shouldn’t be a tough search (probably needing to go out of FL, where there tends to be more 2WDs than elsewhere). Dealer near me has a half dozen ‘16-18 4x4 DCSB trucks that would provide either chrome or Z71 for under $30k and under 30k miles.

Dieselfan1 is giving you good advice.  When I read your list of wants, I also thought you were describing a very common truck.  I would reduce my restrictions to  cost, condition, cab and colour.  (alliteration partially by coincidence ? )  If you hit these four, you will be looking at a nice truck regardless of the other items on your list.  Drop colour as a requirement and you'll probably find a truck for sale on your block!   You can save some money by buying used, but as Dieselfan1 also suggested, new truck prices are not bad when compared to used.   The pleasure,  confidence and benefits derived from being the first owner is well worth the price, imo.
