OBDII problems

So i have a 2002 silverado C1500, I have 2 bluetooth OBD2 readers and none work it connects but does not find the protocol. But a wired OBD2 does work on my truck. Any reason why it does that, truck has 297k miles btw.

Software issue. I have an OBDII scanner that will not read some vehicles but reads others and I have a second that still updates and reads fine. Only thing I could imagine.

software on the truck or the scanner? I use the torque app and Car Scanner i made sure both are updated.

Mine is the software on the scanner. It no longer supports older OBDII systems. My newer scanner works but my old scanner is not longer supporting some older OBDII stuff. I keep an older OBDII for reading older OBDII stuff.

Ah ok it does work on my 2012 vehicle flawlessly it explains a bit since my truck is almost 18 years old
